Fishing
All of our yachts have a fishing rod onboard - we usually troll a line when sailing from island to island and will often catch yellow fin, wahoo, mahi-mahi or similar .... which might become lunch, served fresh off the yachts barbecue or as a sushi/sashimi dish!
Scuba Diving
The Kvarner Riviera is one of the most interesting places for diving and snorleking in all of Croatia. There are dozens of caves, a large number of wrecks, and spectacular coral reefs of the Adriatic Sea to be found. Even though the area is becoming more and more popular with tourists each year, this is still one of the less crowded regions in Croatia.
Government regulations in Croatia forbid anyone other than locally licensed and approved dive operators from leading dives in Croatia. We will work with one of these dive operators to provide diving opportunities for those who would like to dive during their cruise. Please note that divers will have to be personally responsible for the cost of all dives and gear hire during the cruise.
Once we have connected with a suitable local dive operator we will inform you here of any discounts we are able to secure with them. NOTE: A 5mm to 7 mm wet or semi-dry suit with hood is recommended. Ideal would be a two-parter with vest, then, according to your needs, you can dive with or without vest.
IMPORTANT: Credit cards CANNOT be accepted as payment for dives nor for equipment rental– please bring cash (Euros and Kunas accepted).
For those divers who wish to come to Croatia prior to your TradeWinds cruise, and either do some recreational diving or perhaps want or need a refresher course, there are many dive operators here to choose from. Here are some of the ones in the area around Krk island, all of which offer dive equipment for rent:
