The Balearic Islands are an archipelago of Spain, comprising the major islands of Mallorca, Menorca, and Ibiza, plus the smaller islands of Formentera, Cabrera and uninhabited Dragonera. The Balearics lie off the coast of Spain, between France and the coast of northern Africa, in the Mediterranean Sea.
Mallorca has always been one of the most popular holiday destinations in the Mediterranean. After over 50 years of modern tourism, it is clear that one of its greatest treasures is its 350 miles of dramatic coastline, together with fantastic sailing, diving and snorkeling make it perfect for a TradeWinds cruise.
On the northern coast of the island lies the medieval walled town of Alcúdia, a beautifully preserved old town with narrow streets and centuries-old buildings. Well-known for the busy beaches of Platja d’Alcúdia and Platja de Muro on sweeping Alcúdia Bay, this is also one of the best gateways for an adventure over to Mallorca’s little sister island of Menorca.
The Menorcan coastline is not as dramatic as that of her larger sister, but the incredible unspoiled endless beaches, lapped by crystal clear turquoise water… they are a dream-come-true for beachlovers of all ages.
Stone monuments dating back thousands of years are scattered across the countryside, while ancient coastal paths have been restored to link the never ending series of perfect coves (calas) - ideal for snorkeling and kayaking (or a stand-up-paddleboard).
For our 2020 charters in Mallorca we will base ourselves at Port d'Alcúdia, on the north coast of the island. Bienvenido a nuestras islas - we can't wait to welcome you aboard!
